Help Us Celebrate the Life of Misty Lynn

General Manager of Bella Brooke Cafe at Gena’s Sierra Inn
1992-2026

A Celebration of Life for Misty Lynn

It is with profound sorrow—and deep gratitude—that we share the story of Misty Lynn, our beloved General Manager at Bella Brooke Cafe inside Gena’s Sierra Inn, who left this world much too soon on March 11, 2026. Misty was struck by an intoxicated driver while on her way to work, a tragic loss that has left our team, our guests, and her family heartbroken.

Misty joined us just over a year ago, quickly proving herself to be one of the most capable, caring, and inspiring leaders we’ve ever known. Within three months she was promoted to Supervisor, earning the trust and respect of every person on our team. By this year she had become our General Manager, already shaping the future of Bella Brooke Cafe with creativity, integrity, and faith.

She was deeply excited about the new Coffee House addition we completed this winter, seeing it not just as a business, but as a place where community, kindness, and connection could grow. Her vision was rooted in her strong faith in God and her deep love for family. She was proud to be part of a business known for its dedication to providing second chances in life to people who need a place to rebuild. She believed this opportunity accurately reflected her Christian values of forgiveness, salvation, and the restoration of saved souls, and she carried that mission into every shift, every conversation, and every decision she made.

Misty was only 34 when her life was cut short, having just celebrated her birthday on March 1. She was brilliant, thoughtful, and full of energy—a person who balanced sharp intellect with a warm heart. She was a devoted step‑mother, a cherished daughter, and a loyal friend to many. Her partner and family was everything to her, and her love for them was deep, patient, and unwavering.

Those who knew Misty remember her laughter, her quick smile, her firm guidance, and her constant belief that people could grow and do better. She lived with purpose, guided by her faith and by the belief that work could be a form of worship.

To honor her memory, we will be celebrating Misty’s life this Sunday evening from 5:00–7:00 PM at Bella Brooke Cafe during the free live country music performance by Double Down. Friends, family, coworkers, and guests are warmly invited to join us for music, stories, and a shared moment of remembrance in the place she helped build and love. A short ceremony and space for prayer will honor her life.

Misty’s favorite drink was Red Bull, and she was excited to add Red Bull refreshers to our menu this summer. In her honor, we are creating a special beverage called Angel Wings, made using a Red Bull recipe she suggested. Every sale of Angel Wings will be accompanied by a donation to her family in her memory.

All donations—made through the direct link on our website, at the counter at Bella Brooke Cafe, or via the purchase of an Angel Wings drink—will go directly to Misty’s family to help with the expenses of celebrating her life. Bella Brooke Cafe and Gena’s Sierra Inn will keep none of these funds; they are a gift from our community to her loved ones.

Misty Lynn’s life was too short, but it was bright, meaningful, and full of impact. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, compassion, leadership, and love. Her spirit will continue to live in our café, in our team, and in the way we choose to serve one another with the same grace and strength she showed every day.

Rest in peace, Misty. You are deeply missed, and you will never be forgotten.
